Well, not exactly.

The [OFHEO](http://www.ofheo.gov/) press release said [Housing Price Appreciation Slows From Record-Setting Pace, But Remains Strong [pdf]](http://www.ofheo.gov/media/pdf/3q05hpi.pdf)

Key Stats:

* 12.02% Annualized Appreciation Nationwide

* 2.86% Appreciation From Prior Quarter

* Price Momentum In the Pacific and Northeast has pulled back

The coasts are seeing the greatest rates of appreciation because there is less excess land, and therefore more price volatility.

    I have an ARM mortgage which is due to be renogiated in Aug 2007, I am concerned about the fluctuating values in the housing market – I live in Cheshire CT, and wonder if you think the market will hold.
