The results?
Inventory in the 29 metro areas was up about 1.1% from December, and it is normal to see inventory rise after the first of the year in anticipation of the spring market.
The wrinkle?
>The lack of a big January rise this year suggests that people who don’t need to sell their homes are taking them off the market because “conditions are so lousy,”
