Elliman Report: Brooklyn Sales 3Q 2013

Like the prior quarter, both price indicators reached 10-year record highs. Median sales price jumped 11.6% to $564,720 over the same period last year and was the highest quarterly result since the metric was tracked in the first quarter of 2003. Median sales price year-todate, increased at a faster pace, rising 14.4% to $549,000 over the same period last year. Average sales price followed the same pattern, rising 13.1% to a 10-year record of $694,777. All price quintiles showed year-over-year gains with the highest increases seen moving towards the top of the market.
