In the last quarter of 2012, median home prices rose by an average 3.2% for all of Long Island except the East End, compared to the same period in 2011 – despite prices dropping on Nassau’s South Shore. In the East End, that increase was 9.3%. The table below shows home sales and median prices for Long Island minus the East End and for the East End (Hamptons and North Fork) alone, and for Nassau’s South Shore since 2010.
