_[This market recap on the Northern Virginia from MLS data is compiled by [Butch Hicks](http://bhicks.com), a former president of [RAC (Relocation Appraisers and Consultants)](http://www.rac.net) (that I am a member of), a friend and an experienced appraiser in Northern Virginia. The results of his efforts are published on his web site as [a series of charts](http://www.bhicks.com/statistics.htm), each with a brief summary. (As a kid growing up in the Washing DC area, I was barraged by “Virginia is for Lovers” tourism ads, and of course “DC is for US, by George”)]_ -Jonathan Miller

Jonathan,
Greeting from Northern VA! I grew up in Falls Church and Reston and now reside in Loudoun County. I am also a Buyer’s Agent with a team in the area.
I found Mr. Hicks’ charts and information very useful. I also have a few blogs dedicated to real estate in general as as well as specifically this area – realdiablog.com, loudounstats.com and ashburnvablog.com (the last one just getting off the ground).
Being that you and Mr. Hicks are from the area, I would love to get your opinions and input on them.
I’m glad I ran across your blog (courtesy of Sellsius). I just put it on my google home page and look forward to reading it!
