In this week’s [The Hall Monitor](http://soapbox.millersamuelv2.wpenginepowered.com/?cat=46) post on our other blog, Soapbox, _[Thinking Not So Big](http://soapbox.millersamuelv2.wpenginepowered.com/?p=269)_, Appraiser Todd Huttunen makes small talk about a big issue: Will houses continue to get bigger or is this simply a fad?

Reality has knocked and builders will go bust, particularly come the year 2010 if builders/developers don’t build the smaller homes that boomers need. In Kansas City there is an abundance of homes that are 3K, 4K, 5K finished square feet with stairs that will be hard to resale in the future. I believe less is more when it comes to where we live and how we live, but I seem to be in the minority thus far.
