Michael Grassi is a co-owner and the Chief Appraiser and Chief Strategy Officer of Miller Samuel Inc. He joined Miller Samuel in 2004 and brings extensive experience and expertise to the firm. He has been appraising and performing reviews on residential properties since 1991 and is a state certified residential real estate appraiser.
Before joining Miller Samuel, Michael was a senior review appraiser with a national lending institution for eight years. His primary responsibilities included reviewing residential loan portfolios assessing compliance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) as well as Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) guidelines. Other duties included various appraisal services on many types of residential properties. Michael is a State University of Stony Brook graduate in Stony Brook, New York.
He has performed wide-ranging valuation assignments concerning mortgage origination, relocation, foreclosure, litigation bankruptcy, asset valuation, divorce, trust, estate matters, and court testimony. He has been admitted as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, United States. Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of Kings, United States, Family Court of the County of New York, United States. Michael is known for his extensive experience as a “neutral” appraiser in matrimonial matters. The court often recommends Michael to perform appraisals for both parties.
